Dmytro Kovalenko: started dancing at the age of 8 in Ukraine. Moved to
USA in 2011. Before that, I had an active competitive career in Europe.
As a Junior, I was the national runner-up champion of Ukraine in the 10 dances
program (Ballroom, Latin-American dances). After moving to Youth under
21 age group was 3rd at International Dance Union World Cup in Latin-
American program and became a National Ukrainian Youth Champion in 2006.
As an Amateur in 2010 won a National Ukrainian Championship (Ukraine
Tancuvalna version).
Since moving to the USA with my wife and dance partner, Nina Kovalenko, we
were finalists in all major competitions in Professional Division.
One of the most important achievements is:
Professional Eastern United States Rising Star Latin Champions, North
American Pro Showdance winners, runners up at Canadian Open
championship, prizewinners in over 30 Pro competitions through the
country and official USA representatives at the WORLD PROFESSIONAL
championship 2014 in Paris, France.
As an instructors: our students from Cleveland, OH became USA National
champions 2021 in the open (highest) level under 14 years old group
and were official USA representatives at World Championship in Sibiu,
Romania 2021 (only 2 best couples in the country have the right to do
that).
Nina and I are certified World Class Adjudicators. I have a Master
degree in LAW, and Nina in Economic Management.
