Hailing from Uptown New York City, Luz Remigio-Frias was 16 years old when she unlocked a fiery passion for music and the arts. At local events, friends living rooms and on the NYC Subway was where Luz absorbed and developed her techniques. Later she moved on to sharpen her skills by taking classes from hip-hop pioneers like Buddha Stretch and Henry Link. With guidance from Rhapsody James, Eric Negron, Valentine Norton and others, Luz further cultivated a unique approach in both street styles and commercial dance alike. Since then, her talents have taken her from street preforming in NYC to sharing stages with Chris Brown, Ariana Grande, P.Diddy, Rhianna, Nicky Minaj, Pharrell, Cardi B, and many more. Currently Luz’s objective is to continue to infuse culture and reinvigorate the commercial dance industry with an innovative approach to movement- combining street styles with a commercial flair.
